My name is Heath. I am an undisciplined, mediocre lifter and aspiring hunter that has never killed a deer, turkey, bear, or squirrel. I'm a man with a dream of owning my own gym and until this point, I have never taken any steps to make my dreams a reality. My journey to change this starts today.
Over the next year and perhaps even longer I will use this blog as a workout and hunting log that will track my progress of becoming a successful natty power-lifter, hunter, and gym owner. In addition to basic workout logs, hopefully I can share information and tips along the way to help you in your journey to become a stronger version of yourself.
I will cut the bullshit and avoid being redundant with information that can easily be found in other areas of the internet. As I take this journey, I hope to take you, the reader, with me. I will be transparent with my struggles and will provide information you may find useful in your journey to become a successful power-lifter, business owner, and hunter.
Over the past year I have been running Layne Norton's "PHAT" (Power Hypertrophy Adaptive Training) with tremendous progress but have been lacking focus and discipline. Lifting has been a hobby I have picked up and dropped through out the past 14 years of my life.
This Sunday I will begin a program specifically chosen to prep me for my first power-lifting meet tentatively planned for next fall. I plan on beginning the Westside Barbell Method this Sunday. I will evaluate, adjust, and optimize this program as I work through it.
It is my hope that this blog will also be a source of inspiration and motivation even if your personal goals are outside of the weight room or the tree stand. My vision for this journal is to create a community of like-minded individuals to become a resource for each other.
Lift that shit,
Heath
